Absolutely amazing.

The Theory of a Deadman acoustic concert/performance was simply amazing. I was maybe 5 feet from them at all times while they were performing. The autograph session went rather quick. I got my Scars & Souvenirs cd signed as well as my S&S guitar tab book by the entire band. Between me and Mandy, we got some nice photos of the band as well! Which makes me happy, cause I have my own photos (and hers if I need to) I can use for layouts now. :]

And now for the fun part of the story! Some time ago, the boy sort of dared me to ask Tyler to sign something on me, purely because I am the shyest person in the world and would not normally even consider doing such a thing. Well, I proved him very wrong and freaked my cousin out a bit by just happily asking if he wouldn't mind signing my boob as well. I think I shocked him a little as well, which is pretty amusing in my book! But he agreed to do it, and I am incredibly happy every time I look at it.

I am seriously considering getting it tattooed though. The boy says I shouldn't, just in case I'd regret it when I'm older.. But the idea of it just washing away is making me sad. I'm not too sure why. Silly, I know.

I think a nose piercing is on the plate for later today, as well as the actual concert! Haven't had this much fun in ages, nor really got to hang out with Mandy. :]

From an iPod.

Updating this from the iPod as I don't want to turn my computer on for 30-40 minutes. It isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I rather enjoy using the iPod as a mini computer, though I refuse to put my emails on it. Don't need a million notifications.

In non-iPod related news, my Skyrim game has been saved. The newest patch fixed my missing daedric artifact quest, which makes me really happy. So I've been playing that more since Saints Row 2 has taken to irritating me. But eh, I'll beat it one of these days.

The Theory of a Deadman concert is only 13 days away! And then it's like, "Oh shit. I only have 12 days to pull together a outfit and whatnot. *panic*" I also hope I am over this cold by then.

In my day..

Since I found this amazing app for the iPhone/iPod, radioPup, I've taken to listening to a local radio station again. They have a talk show, Free Beer and Hot Wings, and when I tuned in, it was basically one of those "In my day, we didn't have *blah blah*!" It was pretty hilarious. Pretty sure they were using this article from BuzzFeed for ideas.

It's amusing to think kids in the future won't really know what a VHS tape, cassette tape, CD, or even a DVD is. It's also kind of sad to think how much technology is ruling every little aspect of our lives at times. I'll be honest, I hate not having access to my twitter feed (via computer or iPod) because I've found some really nice things from it. If I could have an iPhone without minutes and unlimited data/texting, I'd be set (darn iPod must be tethered to a wifi connection to be useful). I hate talking on the phone. I have since phones were locked to the wall pretty much (corded phones, what). /swt

Oh! What was worse was dial-up internet. I never had the problem of someone calling in and disconnecting me (thanks AOL?) like I always heard people complain about. I just had to worry about terrible speeds, at least in my most recent experience with dial-up a few years ago. Less than 28.8k wasn't cool, considering it took FOREVER to load even the simplest of things. I developed a taste for minimal websites and major organization for TCG sites at this time, as I hated waiting for a layout to load to be able to do anything or waiting for that entire page of cards to load to see what someone wanted to trade. A lot of people have taken to the organization method I had done for the longest time it seems, which is nice since there are still some people with dial-up (or just little patience!). But I have "high speed internet" now. I say it like that because let's be real, Comcast isn't really the fastest and America's internet is rather slow compared to other places. /:p

I read a lot of blogs saying that their parent(s) have adapted to technology and all that jazz, and it makes me somewhat sad. My parent takes to demeaning anything technology related at every chance they get. But whatever, I don't listen to it anymore, it's not worth my time. No point in trying to change their mind. They won't change. /:/

A commercial just reminded me that the Theory of a Deadman concert is only 40 days away! I am SO EXCITED. I really wish I could get meet and greet/backstage passes. I wouldn't want anything else really if I could get to meet Theory. /hee I do also hope I can bring a camera in, I want pictures. /^-^

I still haven't decided what I'm going to do about my web host thing I mentioned in my last post. I've been distracting myself with games. /angel

I hate options.

But at the same time, I love them. It's odd. Like, I have been debating over which purse I should get since a certain store's inventory to site function is very lacking and let me place an order on an out of stock item. /o_O And they didn't even send me a courtesy email that it was out of stock. I had to wait until the package arrived to find out I didn't get the item. So I've learned I will never shop there again, at least online. I'll buy from the store as they typically have an amazing selection of sterling silver earrings (allergic to gold and gold plated items, woo) for a reasonable price.

Another choice I've been trying to figure a solution to is a host. I was, yet again, locked out of my CP due to 1and1 being a giant piece of crap. When I emailed their support, they told me to do everything that I had already done and didn't help. But by the time they actually got to me, it was the next damn day and I FINALLY was able to log into my CP after like 3-4 hours later on the previous day. So I've been contemplating which host I should move to. I was considering dreamhost, but after hearing a bunch of their hosted sites were hacked and that they were trying to put the blame on their users for being targeted (may or may not be true, either way, looks bad for the company)? I decided against them, obviously. My choices are pretty much narrowed down to Surpass Hosting, SecretKiss Hosting, Host my Heart, and Bubble Hosting. And that's where I've managed to get to. /swt

Other than those two things, I've been pretty much avoiding my computer as it has decided to piss me off. It's taken to not wanting to shut down when I select shut down, and nothing I've come across in Google has fixed it. "Oh, it's a virus." Ran multiple scans (even malware scans), comes up clean every time. "Oh, it's a registry problem." Checked the registry and it's not out of line or anything. So I'm at a loss for what to do, other than flip the switch on the back of the computer every time I need to turn it off. Then the other day, it decided to bork my Sims 2 install. I had a problem that, once again, turned up nothing on Google. /:( It was actually rather funny, as the sim went from huge to a tiny little thing on my monitor (here's an image of the problem). I spent 7 hours trying different combinations of CC added and removed, all to find out a fresh install of everything was all I needed. Needless to say, I was not thrilled to find out I had stayed up all night trying to fix it just to need a reinstall. /:/ Oh well, it works.. for the most part. Need to shuffle some CC around to make stuff appear apparently. Darn Sims 2 not having the ability to color things at will and requiring recolors. /n_n

Lastly, 49 days till the Theory of a Deadman concert! /alien

Concert!

Posted on February 15th, 2012 in Blog by Ny.

Not going to one anytime soon, but I am in May! The boy picked up tickets for the Theory of a Deadman concert at The Orbit Room. Hopefully I can bring my camera and get some nice pictures, or my cousin can. /heh

Not looking forward to the whole getting a haircut, dyeing my hair, getting a new picture ID (as my current one is vertical, grrr), finding something decent to wear and all that jazz. At least I have plenty of time to do all that. Hopefully.

I think the boy and I are finally going to start getting stuff to organize the closet, so we have more room for stuff in there! That makes me happy as the current state of it is a semi-organized clutter. And that drives me absolutely batty. /@_@ Then we can get an actual TV that isn't my computer monitor and a place to put our gaming systems that isn't my keyboard area. /n_n

I think that's all I have to say right now.. as nothing has really been eventful.. and I need to go make dinner before I starve! /:x
